Kara David had this significant lesson when it comes to flexing
Seasoned journalist Kara David shared this important piece of advice for people who love to flex.
Kara is one of the most respected documentarists in the Philippines. Her works have received recognition and awards not just in the country but internationally.
With her reputation in the news and public affairs, many people looked up to her. She is also a well-respected teacher, imparting her knowledge in journalism to the younger generation.

Kara David was the guest in the recent Your Honor vodcast hosted by Chariz Solomon and Buboy Villar. One of the topics they discussed was the lavish lifestyle and luxury items, which became a connected issue to the anomalies in ghost projects.
To recall, “nepo babies” received bashing as netizens talked about their photos and videos, flexing their lavish lifestyle amid the accusations that their parents were allegedly involved in anomalous projects.
Kara stressed that there is nothing wrong with flexing. However, she stressed that one should make sure that there would be no issues that would come along with this.
“Okay lang mag-flex kung galing naman kung galing naman sa malinis [na paraan],” the award-winning journalist said. Then, she said that she also does flexing.
However, she said that this is not about flexing her expensive item. “‘Yong pine-flex ko, halimbawa, ‘yong nagbibisikleta ako. Tapos nagkataon na ‘yong bisikleta ko medyo mamahalin. Pero hindi ko pine-flex ‘yong bisikleta,” she said.

What she was flexing was her ability to stay fit despite her age. She said that she is now 52 years old, but she can still do that physically tiring activity. If she can do it, Kara said that other people her age, and those younger than her, can also do it, and that she can still find time to exercise.
With this, her advice was, “Siguro kung magpe-flex, number one, siguraduhin na galing sa malinis na paraan ‘yong source ng pine-flex mo. And number two, may malalim na reason kung bakit ka nagpe-flex. Hindi ‘yong parang yabang lang.”
