Actress Iza Calzado expressed dismay over the current corruption issue in the Philippines due to anomalous flood control projects.

Iza has always been vocal about her thoughts on social issues and things that matter to her and her loved ones. The actress also shared her perspective on what has been happening in the country, even though she is away.

In a recent Instagram post, Iza shared that she has been away from the Philippines for three weeks now, and that was the time when the issue started circulating. The actress and her family are currently in England.

The actress said that she did not know what to say or do, but just like many Filipinos, her heart is broken as well. She’s angry. The actress finds memes about the situation funny, but gets irritated by the reports.

It is hard for her to be away from the Philippines. She would just ask some updates from her friends while reading the news on social media.

The actress also shared that she felt that she could do nothing because she is too far away. Iza hindered herself from sharing her recent photos with her family because she thought that it was inappropriate, given the recent situation in the country.

Iza pointed out that people are now starting to get enlightened and connect together. She said that this matter should not be regarded as something that a person or a group can handle.

Iza Calzado encouraged the public to pray for the Philippines. She is hoping that the wounds will heal, that Filipinos will no longer let the darkness reign over the country.
