Kazel Kinouchi faced this challenge in her new role
Kapuso actress Kazel Kinouchi talked about her villain role, Betsy, in the GMA Afternoon Prime drama series My Father’s Wife.
This is not the first for Kazel to played a “kontrabida” role. Many Kapuso viewers hated her villain character in the afternoon series Abot Kamay na Pangarap. She portrayed that character well.
Now, a new challenge was given to her with her character, Betsy. The series also featured Kapuso stars Jak Roberto, Gabby Concepcion, and Kylie Padilla.
In a recent AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on Reddit, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, Kazel Kinouchi was asked this: “What do you normally do to get into character as Betsy? Do you have routines or may pegs/pinaghuhugutan ka ba?”
The actress said that for her heavy scenes, she would try to be in a quiet place, have her mini ritual of breathing, and step into the world of her character. She admitted that portraying her character in this series was not that easy. The actress also mentioned that portraying her role is physically and emotionally challenging.
“Sa totoo lang it’s not easy to carry cos it’s heavy but it helps me to separate Kazel from Betsy,” she said. Even though her character is a villain, she pointed out that Betsy has a good side.
“I see her determination, though I don’t agree with her ways, grabe yung tapang niya to fight for what she wants,” she said about her character.
Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that Kazel Kinouchi is already a married woman and she has a child. This was revealed through the birthday greeting she received from seasoned actress Dina Bonnevie.
Kazel and Dina worked together in the series Abot Kamay na Pangarap. The seasoned actress mentioned that the actress is a wife and a mother.
