A post against Maine Mendoza was shared on social media
The father of Phenomenal Star Maine Mendoza, Teodoro Mendoza, is accused of being corrupt.
Maine is now being dragged into the corruption issue because of her husband, actor Arjo Atayde, who has currently the congressman of the first district of Quezon City since 2022.
Arjo was accused by Sarah and Curlee Discaya of receiving kickbacks from projects in his district. The actor-politician stressed that she never dealt with the couple, but after this, his photos with the Discayas surfaced online.
Amid the allegations against Arjo Atayde, Maine Mendoza showed support for her husband. She defended Arjo and stressed that he did not commit the things he is accused of.
Following that issue, a social media post shared on Reddit showed a photo of Maine’s family with her husband. The caption of the post claimed that “Maine’s family is also corrupt.”
Allegedly, Maine’s dad worked for the Department of Public Works and Highways, which is allegedly one of the reasons behind their wealth. “Match lang sial [ni] Arjo na sobrang laks mangulimpat for todayss vlog thanks to Maine’s dad connection din,” the netizen claimed, adding that this was a revelation from a former government employee.
In the comment section of the post, netizens talked about the Phenomenal Star’s family background. A quick search on Google, the information provided was that Maine’s father was an engineer who “ventures in road construction.” A netizen also mentioned that Maine’s mother is an accountant.
Some netizens mentioned the past loveteam partnership Maine had with Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards. They were known as AlDub, and some fans expressed happiness for Alden for allegedly dodging the bullet.
As of this writing, Maine Mendoza has not spoken yet about the allegations against her father.
