Hontiveros Reveals Luxury Car Prices of the Discaya Family
HONTIVEROS -Netizens and senators alike are buzzing after Sarah Discaya’s lavish car purchases—including a ₱42M Rolls Royce—were made public by Sen. Risa Hontiveros.
Senator Risa Hontiveros has made public the eye-popping prices of the Discaya family’s luxury vehicles through her official Facebook page, a move that triggered intense reactions online and within the Senate.
Sen. Risa Hontiveros shared on her official Facebook page the prices of the Discaya family’s luxury cars. According to her post, the family’s Rolls Royce is valued at ₱42 million, while their Maybach Mercedes costs ₱22 million.

“Presyo ng mga LUXURY CARS ayon kay Sara Discaya, nung tinanong siya tungkol sa mga halaga ng kotse n’ya,” read the senator’s caption, which quickly drew thousands of reactions and comments from netizens.
Hontiveros’ post detailed that the Rolls Royce is the most expensive in their fleet at ₱42 million, followed by the Maybach Mercedes at ₱22 million. The family also owns two cars priced at ₱20 million each—a Bentley and a Mercedes G 63. Their collection further includes a ₱16-million Range Rover Autobiography, two GMC Denali units pegged at ₱11 million apiece, a Cadillac Escalade worth ₱11 million and another at ₱8 million, a ₱7-million Range Rover Defender, and a ₱5-million Range Rover Evoke.

Many social media users pointed out that the list highlighted the family’s extravagant wealth and lifestyle, especially as the Discayas face a Senate probe over allegedly questionable profits linked to flood control projects.
The controversy intensified when Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III revealed that one of their car suppliers had been accused of having ties to smuggling. “Yung sinabi n’ya na Frebel Enterprise, ito yung china-charge ng [Bureau of Customs] ng smuggled Bugatti. Puro smuggled ang sasakyan nito,” Sotto claimed.

Attention also shifted back to Sarah Discaya’s earlier statement during a Senate hearing, where she admitted to buying a Rolls Royce Cullinan for an unusual reason. When asked if it was only because of the umbrella feature, she answered, “Sir, yes po.”
Sarah and her husband, Pacifico “Curlee” Discaya, are prominent contractors handling major projects under the Department of Public Works and Highways. Their companies, Alpha & Omega Gen. Contractor & Development Corp. and St. Timothy Construction Corporation, have benefited from government contracts. However, their ownership of nearly three dozen luxury vehicles and several mansions has fueled public suspicion and Senate questioning about the true source of their wealth.
