“Malaking bagay ang [pagkakaroon] ng magandang attitude sa trabaho at ka-trabaho, ‘yung walang pinipili, ‘yung hindi lang mabait sa kasama na artista, pati sa staff, crew, lahat. Mabuting pakikisama ay napakalaking bagay,” she said.
Reyes explained that while having talent and skills gives any artist an advantage, what truly matters is how others perceive you as a colleague.
“Malaking edge ang mahusay at magaling ka. Pero malaking bagay rin kung kumalat na ‘mahirap [kang] katrabaho’ or ‘magaling pero.’ Mas gugustuhin mo na ‘yung magaling at mabait. Masarap katrabaho, word of mouth din ‘yan. Mas maganda pa kung natural ‘yan lumalabas sa’yo kasi gusto mo ang ginagawa mo,” she added.
She further emphasized that an artist’s reputation is built not only on their craft but also on how they treat people behind the camera. According to her, word of mouth can play a significant role in shaping one’s career, either creating new opportunities or shutting doors.
