Nadine Lustre won a new acting award
Actress Nadine Lustre thanked herself during her speech when she accepted her Best Supporting Actress award at the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (Famas) awarding ceremony.
Nadine has come a long way since she started as a pop star in the entertainment industry. Eventually, she was given a big acting break through the movie Ang Diary ng Panget, which gave birth to her loveteam with actor James Reid.
When their relationship and their loveteam partnership ended, Nadine focused on her solo projects, which boosted her acting career.
Just recently, Nadine Lustre received another acting award as Best Supporting Actress for the movie Uninvited. In her speech, she said that she will forever cherish this recognition, based on the article in the Inquirer.
She dedicated her award to Mentorque, the production company behind the movie, as well as her fans and her Viva family. The actress also mentioned her boyfriend, Christophe Bariou. “Thank you for allowing me to be true to myself and for loving me always,” she said.
Then, Nadine said that she has been in the industry for quite a long time now, and she has gone through a lot of ups and downs in her career. There was a time when she waited so long to finally have her big break.
Moments came when she felt like giving up, thinking that her dreams were impossible to fulfill. Fortunately, she did not quit. She continued until she finally achieved what she deserved as an actress.
For this, she also thanked herself. “Gusto kong pasalamatan âyung sarili ko dahil medyo mahirap din naman po âyung pinagdaanan namin. Gusto kong pasalamatan na kahit ano mang mangyari, ginawa ni Nadine lahat ng kaya niya, in all the ways that she can para maabot âyung dream na âyon,â she said.
Then, she shared a reminder not to forget one’s because even though loved ones are there to show love and support for the dreams, oneself is your number one “kakampi.”
