Maine Mendoza responded to the “Thank you, ChatGPT” comment
A netizen accused Phenomenal Star Maine Mendoza of using ChatGPT for her recent post.
Maine had a recent statement that was controversial. In a podcast with her fellow Eat Bulaga host, they recalled the time when they were doing the Kalyeserye, a segment in the longest-running noontime show that gave birth to the AlDub loveteam.
Her onscreen partnership with Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards was one of the most successful loveteams in the Philippine entertainment industry.

In the podcast, Maine Mendoza admitted that she fell in love with Alden Richards back then, and that she asked him what he felt for her, but the actor’s response was that he could not tell her about this because the magic would be gone.
The actress-host received negative reactions because of this, and there were bashing addressed to Alden as well.
In a social media post, Maine clarified her statement as she did not expect that it would become controversial because it was in the past, and both parties have moved on.
She stressed that it was just a recollection of the Kalyeserye, and since Alden was part of it, he was included in the story. Maine also said that she and Alden are okay, and that people should not bash him for what he said to her back then.

Maine did her clarification through a lengthy post, explaining that there were no ill intentions when they did that podcast.
However, her explanation received a negative comment from a netizen who accused her of using ChatGPT to write it. Based on the article in the Inquirer, they have already deleted that comment.
Nonetheless, Maine Mendoza answered the accusation. In her post on X, formerly Twitter, she wrote, “Nakaka-offend sa mga taong noon pa nagsusulat at normal na gumagamit ng em dash.”

Her fans rallied behind her, especially those who had known that she had a blog site, and even before she became a showbiz personality, they were reading her blogs. “Writer Menggay is my bias,” a netizen commented.
