Actress Ruffa Gutierrez recalled the slap scenes she had with veteran actress Gloria Diaz and actor Sid Lucero.
Ruffa returned to GMA through the Kapuso series Beauty Empire that features Barbie Forteza and Kyline Alcantara as lead stars. For quite a while, Ruffa did some acting stints in the Kapamilya network.
This year, she had her Kapuso comeback through a series about the glamorous world of the beauty industry. In the series, Ruffa gives life to the character of Velma Imperial.
Based on the article by entertainment writer Jun Lalin, the recent episode of the series became a trending topic because of the “sampalan” scene. The showbiz writer is known as one of the Gutierrez family’s close friends in the entertainment industry.
Gloria’s character slapped Ruffa’s character. Lalin shared that many viewers thought that it was too painful for Ruffa. However, when the entertainment writer asked the actress said that she was okay with the slap from the Miss Universe 1969. It was not that painful for her.
âHindi naman masyadong masakit. Itâs okay,â Ruffa shared. The actress revealed that the slap that really stunned her was from Sid Lucero.
âGrabeee! Mas masakit âyon. Walang-wala âyung sampal ni Tita Glo!â Ruffa shared, adding that the actor was really apologizing to her repeatedly after filming that scene.
Meanwhile, just recently, Ruffa Gutierrez also went viral because of a video showing that she was introduced at an event for a beauty company as “Rufa Mae”. Upon hearing that, Ruffa looked at the host with a smile on her face but said, “Nakakaloka.”
People who were there also laughed. The host immediately apologized for that mistake. Ruffa jokingly said that the host should be replaced, and this garnered laughter from other attendees.
