Based on the article in the Inquirer, the concert is set to happen on September 14. In an interview about this, Jaya talked about the noticeable changes in the music industry.

“I’ve noticed that the landscape of the music industry has changed,” she said, adding that a lot of young acts are coming in.

She also pointed out the changes when it comes to concerts. Nowadays, she said, concerts are more visual and interactive. “I don’t have to impress my audience with dance and pyrotechnics. I just need to prepare myself to perform the songs in a different way,” the singer said.

Her songs like “Wala Na Bang Pag-ibig,” and “Dahil Tanging Ikaw,” made her a household name. The singer said that she hoped that when she sings these songs, people would feel that these are a little different but were performed in a way different from what they were a decade or decades ago.

Jaya also stressed that these changes are not merely in the industry but also in her. She said that she is now 55 years old, and she hoped people would still enjoy her songs and how she would deliver them in a more mature way, but still heartfelt.

Jaya admitted that having this homecoming concert is both exciting and emotional for her. “Many of my beloved and respected mentors and friends have passed away, and the music landscape has changed since I was last in the Philippines,” she said.
