The daughter of Caridad Sanchez preaches to a netizen about Alzheimer’s disease
Cathy Babao, the daughter of veteran actress Caridad Sanchez, slammed a netizen who posted this photo.
Caridad rose to fame in the late 1950s. She has done many movies and teleseryes throughout her active years in the Philippine entertainment industry.
She was known for portraying the roles of a loving mother or grandmother in series and movies. In recent years, Caridad became inactive in showbiz because of her health.

Her daughter, Cathy Babao, shared in an Instagram post in 2020 that the veteran actress was battling dementia. Caridad Sanchez was diagnosed with this condition in late 2015.
In a recent series of comments on Threads, Cathy slammed a netizen who posted a photo of his mother. In the photo, Caridad was sitting in a wheelchair inside a grocery store.
The netizen highlighted Caridad’s old age and commented about the veteran actress’s health. “Mukhang mayroon din siya na sakit na dinaramdam ngayon. Ang laki ng pinayat niya,” the netizen remarked.

Cathy slammed the netizen. “Rather than speculate, which is highly disrespectful, it’s better to do your research,” she said, adding that everyone will get old, and this could lead to a higher risk of dementia or Alzheimer’s.
Caridad’s daughter also preached to the netizens about what should be realized regarding this condition. She pointed out that this condition affects the memory and the way a person thinks, which could also extend to their daily activities.
Cathy said that there is no cure for this, but it can be managed with the right care, patience, and love that other people can give to the patient. She added that some medicines can slow down the effects, but in most cases, having their loved ones around them can help a lot.
“So while we can’t fix it, we can walk alongside those we love as gently and as faithfully as we can. One day, one memory, one story at a time,” the daughter of Caridad Sanchez said.

I support you Ms. Cathy, coz I am walking the same path with my husband now. God bless us🥰
