According to Kauffman, Boniwell, and Silberman (2010), as cited by positivepsychology.com, positive psychology coaching is a “scientifically rooted approach to helping clients increase well-being, enhance and apply strengths, improve performance, and achieve valued goals.”

This achievement adds to Jodi’s academic background, as she completed her psychology degree in 2021. Despite juggling her responsibilities as a prominent Kapamilya actress, she remains determined to pursue further studies.

“Isa ‘yan sa mga bagay na kino-consider kong importante sa buhay ko eh. Ang Master’s naman you just go to school once or twice a week so mas maluwag ‘yung schedule kaya marami rin akong mga bagay na nagagawa,” she shared in an earlier interview uploaded on MJ Marfori’s YouTube channel.

Jodi also mentioned her intention to build on her undergraduate thesis titled “The Impact of the NADA Protocol (Ear Acudetox) on the Anxiety Level of People Working in Television Production.”

“Now I am really excited for my [future] paper because it’s going to be an extension study of this paper,” she relayed.

In addition to her studies and coaching journey, Jodi recently launched the JSM Channel on YouTube, a platform she uses to spread positivity and share insights grounded in her psychology education.

“Sa ‘Live Light’ [segment] ‘yung isang episode will be about different topics, there will be topics about love, and boundaries, and family and we have subject matter expert to further expound on the topic so that hindi lang puro, ‘I believe,’ ‘This is what I think,’ pero it’s like supported by and back up by studies,” she said.

Looking back on her academic experiences, Jodi reflected, “I feel na these are the things na natutunan mo in school… ngayon it’s being put into good use… meron na siyang real-life application.”
