“I’ve said it naman na before na parang it’s about time I open myself to dating, meeting new people. So I decided to try it,” Carla shared, signaling a fresh start after a challenging chapter in her love life.
Clearly in a positive headspace, the Kapuso actress couldn’t contain her happiness and added with a smile, “There’s a second date. We’ll see if there’s gonna be more dates.” This candid admission delighted fans, who have long admired Carla for her grace and strength throughout her previous relationship.
This revelation comes months after Carla shared in a May interview with Julius Babao that she was ready to open her heart again. Back then, she expressed her cautious yet optimistic approach to love, especially after what she had been through.
“Lagi ko pong sinasabi na may mga nagpaparamdam pero syempre, nag-iingat din po ako na after what happened to me mga ganon. Kailangan pipiliin ko po talaga ng mabuti,” she said. “Ang importante, integrity po diba, yung honesty, yung respect.”
These qualities, she emphasized, are now non-negotiable for her moving forward. Carla added, “Honest, may respeto, wala pong tinatagong kahit anong bagay at tsaka mabait. Simple lang, integrity at ‘tsaka mabait.”
Carla was previously married to actor Tom Rodriguez in October 2021. However, their marriage ended in divorce, finalized in June 2022. A year after the split, Carla confirmed that she had healed and was ready to embrace new beginnings.
