Ruby Ruiz talked about her experience working with Nicole Kidman
Seasoned actress Ruby Ruiz shared that Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman liked “pandesal” and “ensaymada.”
Ruby was able to have the chance to work with Nicole in the 6-part limited series Expats, which was released on Prime Video in January this year.
Several months after that, Ruby shared in a recent media conference for the movie Outside De Familia, based on the article in Abante, that she and Nicole still have communication.

“Hindi naman kami `yung super close na close, pero may communication pa rin kami hanggang ngayon,” the seasoned Pinay actress shared. She and Nicole Kidman had been together for almost a year when they were filming for the series.
Most of the scenes that Ruby Ruiz did in the series were with the Hollywood actress. The Pinay actress also got close to the people from the production team.
She was able to let her co-stars and the people behind the camera taste her adodo and mechado. “So natikman nila ang adobo, at favorite nila yon, pati mechado, lumpiang shanghai. Of course,yung lumpiang shanghai, ino-order ko na lang `yon, para hindi na ako magbalot-balot. Hahahaha!” she shared.
Ruby also shared that she just ordered the lumpia, but she really cooked that adobo and mechado, and her colleagues in that project really loved the Filipino dishes.

When asked if Nicole was also able to have a taste of her adobo and mechado, Ruby said that the Hollywood actress is vegetarian. Since it was written in the script that Nicole had to eat pandesal, Ruby really ordered 10 boxes of this in Hollywood, which was worth $50 per box.
She also ordered ensaymada and Nicole liked these Filipino breads. “Mereseng kalahati ng talent fee ko napunta sa pandesal at ensaymada, ha! Kasi siyempre ikukuwento niya ‘yon, di ba? Imagine, $50 a box, eh, sampu ang inorder ko. Hahahaha! Pero sige na, pikit-mata talaga. At napunta kay Nicole ang 2 boxes,” the Pinay actress said.
Ruby Ruiz also shared that Nicole Kidman gave her gifts. The Pinay actress shared that she gave the Hollywood actress a bayong and a bag made of plastic straw.
