MJ Lastimosa had this post against politicians
Beauty queen-actress MJ Lastimosa slammed congressmen who joined the standing ovation for President Bongbong Marcos during the State of the Nation Address (SONA) 2025.
On July 28, PBBM had his 4th SONA. The event took a simpler route; there was no red carpet entrance and elaborate photo opportunities for attendees, who were directed to tone down their outfits.
During the SONA, the President criticized the corruption in flood control projects. PBBM said that his administration has started reviewing these projects and would make government officials and the private sector pay for the corruption that happened, based on the article in the Inquirer.

“Mahiya naman kayo sa inyong kapwa Pilipino. Mahiya naman kayo sa mga kababayan nating naanod o nalubog sa baha. Mahiya naman kayo lalo sa mga anak nating magmamana sa mga utang na ginawa n’yo,” the President said.
This statement was prompted by the recent flooding that many areas in Luzon experienced due to a typhoon. In his speech, PBBM mentioned the dishonesty that some politicians committed, especially for fraudulent and substandard flood mitigation projects.
After the speech, the congressmen stood as they joined the standing ovation. In line with this, MJ Lastimosa slammed those lawmakers. “That’s bold of the congressmen to join the standing ovation during the part of the Sona about the misused flood control budget. As if they weren’t affected,” the beauty queen-artist wrote in her post.

Meanwhile, MJ Lastimosa was being linked to Senator JV Ejercito, as last month, photos implying that they were together in the same place surfaced online.
Late last year, the beauty queen-actress was also accused of being the mistress of Philip Laude, the husband of socialite vlogger Small Laude. However, MJ was quick to debunk the allegations against her.
