Heaven Peralejo and Jerome Ponce are the lead stars of this upcoming series
The initial poster of I Love You Since 1892 showed Janella Salvador and Marlo Mortel as lead stars, but they were replaced by Heaven Peralejo and Jerome Ponce.
Fans have been talking about the supposed onscreen reunion of Janella and Marlo. They first worked together in the series Be Careful With My Heart in 2012.
However, that onscreen reunion did not push through. Based on the article in PEP, they were replaced by Heaven and Jerome.
Back in 2018, a teaser was released. It showed that Janella Salvador will portray the character of Carmela and become Carmelita Montecarlos when she finds herself in the 19th-century era, while she is from the 21st century. She fell in love with Juanito Alfonso, who will be portrayed by Marlo Mortel.
However, in the cast reveal last July 24, Heaven Peralejo and Jerome Ponce were introduced as lead stars with Joseph Marco.
I Love You Since 1892 is a full series, directed by McArthur Alejandre, and is set to be released on Viva One.
Jerome is determined to prove that the production was not wrong when he was chosen to be the male lead in this series.
He is happy to be part of this project, and people would ask if he will be able to do justice to the role. The actor admitted that he was aware that there are happy and excited reactions, but there are also fear and doubts.
“Sa mga nakakilala sa akin, hindi ko hinahayaan na yung doubts ng iba e umabot sa akin. Di bale na yung doubts ko, lalabanan ko hanggang sa yun na ang makita ng mga tao,” he said.
With this, Jerome said that he is excited to prove that he deserves the trust given to him. This project is Joseph Marco’s first project as a Viva artist. He is also happy to be chosen to portray the character of Leandro Flores.
“I am privileged and honored, especially kaka-sign up ko lang sa Viva, wala pang two weeks, and they gave me this project,” Joseph said, adding that this kind of project is keeping him high.
