Star Magic condemned the “manipulated” videos or photos featuring Fyang Smith
Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 Big Winner Fyang Smith was defended by ABS-CBN’s talent management company Star Magic.
Fyang became a trending topic on social media because of her viral videos and photos. One of the videos was when she said that their PBB batch is the best. This received a comment from Kapuso comedienne-host Pokwang, who reminded Fyang to be humble.
Amid the negative reactions that Fyang received, her fans rallied behind her. Even her onscreen partner JM Ibarra defended her and asked the public not to be judgmental based on a clip that circulated online.
However, the videos and photos of Fyang showing her alleged “negative” attitude and gestures continue circulating. One of these was when she was caught on video hitting a member of her security team for getting in her way to greet someone.
Talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz also shared his thoughts on the recent issues involving Fyang Smith. He shared his unsolicited advice. Ogie told Fyang to be more aware of how she moves around people because she is no longer inside the PBB house.
Amid the issues against the Kapamilya talent, Star Magic released a statement condemning the “edited” photos and videos that circulated online.
“Star Magic condemns the act of illegally manipulating videos and/or photos of celebrities or anyone, moreso when intended mainly to damage a person’s name, image and reputation,” the talent management company stated.
The company also asked the public to stop sharing and engaging with the “fake photos and videos” on social media. Star Magic stressed that it prioritizes the welfare of its talents, and legal action may be taken against perpetrators, including those who posted, distributed, and duplicated the “edited” videos and photos.
“Everyone should be treated with dignity and respect, even on social media,” Star Magic said about Fyang Smith’s issue.
