Vhong Navarro Talks About His ‘Incognito’ Stint

Vhong Navarro is happy to be part of this Kapamilya series

Actor-host Vhong Navarro talked about his stint in the Kapamilya action-drama series Incognito.

Vhong was first known as one of the members of the 90s dance group Streetboys. Eventually, he ventured into acting and focused on the comedy genre. However, Vhong’s recent acting project was under the action genre.

The It’s Showtime host created a buzz when the Incognito: The Final Mission was released because it revealed that Vhong is one of the surprise cast members.

Vhong Navarro delivered. Avid viewers hated his character because he brought torment to the Kontraks, played by the lead stars Richard Gutierrez, Daniel Padilla, Ian Veneracion, Baron Geisler, Anthony Jennings, Maris Racal, and Kaila Estrada.

Vhong’s character, Gaspar, is a traitor as he was one of the men of Manuel, played by Joem Bascon, who has a crime group.

Previously, Vhong shared that when this stint was offered to him, he did not believe that it would happen because it was half-jokingly offered to him.

His scenes were shot in Marawi. In a recent interview, based on the article in ABS-CBN, Vhong said that he had mixed emotions regarding this. “Sa totoo lang, medyo kakabahan ka at siyempre merong lungkot na kasama,” the actor-host said.

He was referring to their location because it became a war zone during the 2017 siege. This destroyed many properties, and many lives were lost.

The atmosphere during their shoot was far from what he expected since they were in that location. “Sobra silang masaya kasi dinalaw sila ng cast ng ‘Incognito.’ Parang ang laking bagay na sa kaunting paraan, nakalimutan nila ‘yong pinagdaanan nila dahil nabigyan sila ng kasiyahan dahil binisita sila ng mga sikat na bida ng ‘Incognito.’”

Tapos isa na rin ako sa kasamang nagpasaya sa kanila,” he added. The It’s Showtime host also said that he felt excited and nervous about playing a role he had never done before. He was questioning himself if he would be able to memorize his lines because, on a daily basis, he would just read the teleprompter for his hosting stint in the Kapamilya noontime show.

He also felt pressured working with the star-studded cast, but the production helped him.
