It is known to many that Awra uses the female pronouns. However, a social media personality insisted on calling the showbiz personality with male pronouns. This garnered various reactions from the online community.

In line with this, Ogie advised Awra to ignore the negative comments about her preferred pronouns. “Wag na sanang patulan ni Awra yung umookray sa kanya na he/his/him/ bro siya at hindi she/ her/sis,” the talent manager-vlogger said.

For Ogie, reacting to these negative comments can do nothing.
Di bale sana kung ito ang magbabayad ng tuition fee niya sa college, okay lang na patulan niya for 4 years hanggang sa matapos niya ang college,” he stressed.

Ogie also pointed out that Awra should know how to choose the issues she should answer, as it is a known fact that one cannot please everybody.

You should choose your battles. And always remember: you really cannot please everybody,” Ogie Diaz stressed.

This issue started when content creator Sir Jack Agorto commented on an artcard of an article about Awra’s graduation and “her” was used. “Anong her? Goodluck bro!” the content creator said.

This became a trending topic on social media as members of the LGBTQIA+ community and people belonging to the PWD or persons with disability group expressed various reactions.
