Maris Racal talked about bouncing back from a controversy she went through
Kapamilya actress Maris Racal said that she wants to stay single for now after her controversy with actor Anthony Jennings.
Maris went through a tough time in her career when she was romantically linked to Anthony. This came a few months after her breakup with singer-songwriter Rico Blanco. Anthony’s ex-girlfriend Jam Villanueva exposed that the two celebrities were having their romance while the actor was still with her.
In her statement, after a massive amount of bashing, Maris clarified that what she knew was that Anthony and Jam were no longer together when she and the actor became a couple.
After the controversy, both Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings were able to bounce back in their careers. They continued with their acting and endorsement projects, including the Kapamilya series Incognito.
Previously, Maris said that this series saved her. She was shooting for this while dealing with the effect of her controversy with Anthony.
In a recent interview on Kapamilya journalist Karen Davila’s YouTube channel, Maris Racal shared how she was able to surpass that challenging moment in her life. She was thankful for her loved ones who became the main reason for her strength.
The actress admitted that she sought professional help for her mental health while dealing with this issue. She also had her journal that helped her organize her thoughts, and she would listen to music. Maris engaged in worthwhile activities as well as, such as meditation.
Currently, Maris said that she is single and this is a conscious decision. “I want to stay single I feel I need to give myself some space to grow and to really process everything. I don’t know, but that’s what I’m saying now but I don’t know about tomorrow,” she said.
Meanwhile, just like her character in the movie Sunshine, Maris Racal is also determined and brave amid life’s challenges.
She stressed that she loves her dreams so much and she will do anything amid the challenges just to reach her goals.
