Vina Morales and Jake Ejercito became subjects of relationship rumors
Singer-actress Vina Morales reacted to the rumors linking her to Kapamilya actor Jake Ejercito.
Vina has achieved longevity in the entertainment industry. From her teenage years until now, she has remained relevant in showbiz. With her talent as a singer and actress, she has done various TV shows and concerts.
Recently, she ventured into the theater that showcased another side of her. She was the one who replaced Broadway Diva Lea Salonga in the musical Here Lies Love. Despite her successful career, Vina’s love life was not quite a success.
It is known to many showbiz fans that Vina Morales had a failed relationship with businessman Cedric Lee, and their separation was quite controversial. In recent years, the singer-actress has allowed her daughter Ceana to communicate with her father.
Last year, Vina confirmed that she and her non-showbiz boyfriend, Andrew Kovalcin, broke up.
In May, rumors linking Vina to Jake Ejercito circulated online. Based on the article in PEP, the singer-actress shared a post about her and Jake’s trip to Jolo, Sulu, to campaign for their friend Congressman Samier Tan.
“Touch down! It was a long day of travel with @unoemilio, but it was all worth it to be with the people of Jolo, Sulu, which is my first time. You made it all happen, our dear friend Congressman Samier Tan. It was a success, filled with peace, and seeing everyone smile during the motorcade meant everything. Alhamdulillah. Alamalaykum Musalam,” Vina wrote in the caption of her post.
With this, speculations surfaced that there is something romantic between them. In a Viber message to the showbiz news site, Vina stressed that there is no truth to this.
She also said that she chose not to answer the rumors when they first broke out to avoid it from becoming a big issue. The singer-actress also clarified that she and Jake were just together and in a stint, and it is not true that they are dating.
“He is a good friend and we worked together when we were in Zulu, and just one post ng vlogger na magkasama kami campaigning, they assumed we are dating. There’s no truth to that post,” Vina Morales stressed.
