Ivana Alawi Considers Letting Go of Sentimental Bahrain Property

Ivana Alawi Gets Real About Bahrain Home

IVANA ALAWI – Actress and YouTuber Ivana Alawi revealed that no one has lived in their Bahrain house for years, prompting the decision to let it go.

Ivana Alawi has opened up about the possibility of selling their family’s house in Bahrain, a property rich with memories but now left unused. The topic surfaced during a fun and revealing lie detector challenge featured on her YouTube channel, where she was joined by her mother, Fatima, and her brother, Hash.

The video featured a twist inspired by Vanity Fair’s Lie Detector Series and the popular show Hot Ones, where participants had to eat a spicy chicken wing if caught lying by the polygraph.

Fatima was the first to take the test, and when asked if she wanted to sell the Bahrain home, the machine confirmed she was being truthful. She explained that even though the house was renovated five years ago, it remains vacant. Adding humor to the conversation, she joked, “Pero totoo ‘yung bahay namin na ‘yun… walang ghosts.”

During her turn, Ivana addressed past doubts about the property’s legitimacy, affirming that the house is indeed theirs and not rented. “Alam mo, hindi ganoon kagaling gumawa ng istorya na kung saan ako lumaki ‘di ba? Kinuwento ko talaga kung saan kami lumaki,” she explained, mentioning the absence of personal photos since the family now resides permanently in the Philippines.

Ivana also emphasized the difficulties of maintaining the home from another country, especially since no one has lived there since it was refurbished in 2020. She admitted that she doesn’t see herself returning to live in Bahrain, and instead prefers to stay either in the Philippines or the United States.

Hash provided additional background, stating that the house has been unoccupied for nearly 20 years, and the family had already moved all their belongings back to the Philippines 15 years ago.

Although the house holds sentimental meaning, Ivana clarified that it technically belongs to their late Moroccan father, as his name still appears on the property. The family’s decision to potentially sell the house reflects their move forward while focusing on their life in the Philippines.
