Luis Manzano talked about his family
Kapamilya host Luis Manzano said in a recent interview that as a husband and a father, he is more driven now.
Luis sort of grew up in the entertainment industry because of his parents Star For All Seasons Vilma Santos and veteran actor-host Edu Manzano. Eventually, Luis established his name in showbiz as one of the prominent TV hosts of his generation.
When it comes to his personal life, the biggest milestone he has right now is having his own family, his wife actress Jessy Mendiola, and their daughter who they fondly call Peanut.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Luis Manzano shared that he realized that inherited a lot of his father’s traits. One of those traits is being happy and having a sense of humor.
“Kapag nagte-taping siya (Edu) and when people speak of him, lahat sila sinasabi na he’s a fun guy. He makes sure na lahat ng tao sa paligid niya ay napapasaya niya,” he shared.
Luis also said that his daughter Peanut also got this trait. “Si Peanut, malakas mang-asar! Alam niya ‘yung kunwari magki-kiss siya sabay tatakbo. Basta, pilya siya!” he enthused.
The Kapamilya host admitted that he has still moments when he feels overwhelmed by his daughter. He is in awe every time he realizes that he was given this kind of life with his family.
There were moments when he would cry realizing that Peanut was growing too fast. “Kapag nagmorning kisses kami, it’s a very overwhelming feeling,” he shared.
Being a husband and a father, Luis stressed that he wanted to fulfill these duties and he got inspiration from this.
“Now I’m more driven. Gusto ko rin magsipag. Bilang isang tatay at asawa, magiging realist ka. Dati kasi yung gastusin andiyan lang, ngayon iniisip mo na…naiisip mo na kasi as a provider I’m more driven sa mga kailangan ko gawin para sa inyo, not just pera, but my responsibilities,” Luis Manzano said.
The TV host said that the challenge in this is the fear of the unknown. He wanted to lay down the future for his family but no one knew what would happen tomorrow. Luis also said that he wanted his family will have the security that they would be okay once his “number” was called.
