Javi Benitez received a Father’s Day greeting
Victorias City Mayor and incoming Negros Occidental 3rd District Representative Javi Benitez reacted to Happy Father’s Day greeting he received on Sunday, June 15.
The world celebrates Father’s Day every second Sunday of June. Many children would pay tribute to their fathers and the father figures in their lives. Some would prepare a simple celebration while some would hold an extravagant family get-together.
In the age of social media, many people post their Father’s Day greetings on online platforms. Through this, even though those who are far away can easily reach out to anyone for greetings.
In a Facebook post on Monday, June 16, Mayor Javi shared a screenshot of a message he received that showed that someone greeted him “Happy Father’s Day.” In his reply, he stressed that he is not yet a father. “Hi Engr! Indi pa ko father [laughing emojis],” Mayor Javi said.
In the caption of his post, he wrote, “Kalinti! Kaghapon, may nag-Happy Father’s Day sa akon. I-liwat ko ya, indi pa ko father, Manong lang anay!” and this included a laughing emoji as well.
Mayor Javi added, “Happy Not Yet a Father’s Day sa akon!” Netizens who commented on his post were amused with his reaction.
Some netizens pointed out that the person who greeted him apparently meant that he is now the father of Victorias City and soon to be the whole 3rd District of Negros Occidental. “Father ka sang bilog nga Victorias and soon the whole 3rd District. That is why gin greet ka nila Mayor!” a netizen commented.
Meanwhile, last month, Mayor Javi Benitez also had a post that went viral. It was his statement amid the issue involving his father Bacolod City Mayor and incoming Bacolod Lone District Representative Albee Benitez.
