It has been rumored for several months that there was something romantic going on between Kathryn and Mayor Mark. Back in July, rumors surfaced that the politician was courting the actress.
At first, when asked about this, Mayor Mark was “dedma.” By March 2025, it was rumored that Kathryn and Mayor Mark already become a couple. Amid the rumored romance, the politician caught netizens’ attention with his post about “peace.”

In a recent episode of Showbiz Update, the YouTube talk show of talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz, he mentioned the Reddit post that went viral claiming that Kathryn and Mayor Mark were spotted at BGC.
The netizen who posted this claimed that the rumored couple were seen at BGC’s High Street in the early hours of June 6. However, there were no photos taken because allegedly both were rushed into a van.
The netizen added that they weren’t able to take photos because they did not expect they would encounter the rumored couple. However, the netizen said that the Mayor was having his taken photo with scooters there.
Ogie Diaz said that many netizens doubted the authenticity of the supposed sightings of Kathryn Bernardo and Mark Alcala since there were no photos to back this up.
