Is it true that Maine Mendoza and Miles Ocampo’s friendship is going through a conflict?
Speculations surfaced that there was a “tampuhan” between Eat Bulaga hosts Maine Mendoza and Miles Ocampo.
Maine has been part of the longest-running noontime show since 2015. It was because of her popularity on social media as the Dubmash Queen. The online popularity she had opened doors for her in the entertainment industry.
From that, she became Yaya Dub in the Kalyeserye segment of the noontime show and was paired with Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards. Their AlDub tandem became one of the most popular loveteams in the history of Philippine showbiz.
Meanwhile, Miles joined the show in 2022. That was after she signed a contract with Maja Salvador’s Crown Artist Management but she did not renew her contract in March this year.
When Eat Bulaga transferred to TV5, Maine Mendoza and Miles Ocampo remained as Dabarkads.
Avid viewers of the noontime show would notice the closeness between Maine and Miles. However, speculations surfaced just recently that their friendship was going through a problem.
Veteran entertainment writer Lolit Solis shared that rumors have been circulating on social media that Miles and Maine were not okay. Allegedly, Maine unfollowed Miles on Instagram but the latter still follows the former.
Netizens also noticed that in one of the segments of Eat Bulaga, Maine and Miles used to be together but in recent episodes, the Ryzza Mae Dizon replaced Miles.
With this, some netizens recalled the friendship that Miles had with other celebrities. “Bigla nga nilang naalala na close rin si Miles noon kay Kathryn Bernardo pero bigla na lamang diumano nag-iwasan ang dalawa, na parang ganoon din daw sa kanila ni Sharlene San Pedro na nakasama rin nila sa Goin’ Bulilit noon,” Lolit mentioned in her article.
Then, some netizens connected this rumored “tampuhan” between Maine and Miles to the decision of the latter to leave Maja’s talent management company.
Maja Salvador also became part of Eat Bulaga and became close with Maine Mendoza. Lolit Solis said that it might just be a little misunderstanding. As of this writing, Miles and Maine haven’t spoken yet about the speculations.
