James Reid & TJ Monterde Team Up for New Track
JAMES REID – Singer-songwriters James Reid and TJ Monterde drop a surprise collab that fans are calling the most emotional release of the year.
James Reid is set to release a brand-new song titled Pahinga, featuring fellow Filipino singer-songwriter TJ Monterde. The announcement, made by James on June 2, thrilled fans who have been eagerly awaiting fresh music from both artists.
“Sometimes, all you need is a little Pahinga. This song has been blessed with @tjmusicmonterde 🙏🏻,” James shared on social media, revealing that the track will officially be available on all streaming platforms starting June 6.

This marks another creative milestone for both musicians. James Reid previously released his introspective EP jgh in November 2023. The project explored themes of self-reflection and personal growth, portraying James in a more vulnerable and grounded light. “My home is a reflection of myself. It’s filled with things I’ve gathered along my journey and decorated with memories,” he said at the time.
Meanwhile, TJ Monterde has also been active in the music scene. Earlier this year, he dropped the heartfelt collaboration Silver with South Korean artist 10CM. The song, which the duo performed at TJ’s Sarili Nating Mundo concert in February, speaks of a deep, enduring friendship that transcends distance and time. “This song talks about the love of a best friend that surpasses time,” TJ explained.
In addition, TJ’s hit single Palagi, released in 2024, gained massive popularity as part of the soundtrack for the box-office hit Hello, Love, Again.
