The post announced that he won’t be at Epic because an “unfortunate situation” happened and that he needed time to recover physically and mentally.

Based on the article in PEP, Sen, Jinggoy Estrada spoke about this matter. He said that the incident happened on May 24, 2025. The lawmaker shared that his son Julian was coming from a bar with Jefferly Vitug when three men, who are Boracay residents, attacked them.

Julian and Jefferly were about to go back to their accommodation venue. Allegedly, the suspect said to Jefferly, “Masyado kang maangas.” The Senator pointed out that the CCTV footage shows that there was no tension that happened at the bar. Julian and Jefferly were both injured and are currently confined in a hospital.

“Bilang ama at tiyuhin, hindi maiiwasan na labis akong mag-alala nang makarating sa akin ang masamang balita. Kaya’t dali-dali akong pumunta para alamin ang nangyari at kalagayan nila,” Sen. Jinggoy Estrada said.

The Estradas already filed a complaint against the suspects and the Senator hoped that proper authorities will investigate this case and make sure that justice will be served.

Despite what happened, Sen. Jinggoy is thankful that his son and nephew are safe. “We hope incidents like this serve as a reminder of the need to create a safer environment for everyone,” the lawmaker added.
