PAOLO DUTERTE – Davao City Representative Paolo “Polong” Duterte and his sons officially assumed their new government roles during a solemn oath-taking ceremony in Davao City.
Paolo Duterte, along with his sons Omar and Rodrigo II, officially took their oaths of office in a ceremony held at The Royal Mandaya Hotel. The event was presided over by Court of Appeals Justice Jill Rose Jaugan-Lo and attended by close relatives and supporters of the family.
Paolo Duterte retained his seat as the representative of Davao City’s first congressional district. Meanwhile, his sons entered politics for the first time: Omar was sworn in as the representative of the second congressional district, while Rodrigo II assumed the role of city councilor. Their entry into public service continues the Duterte family’s long-standing involvement in Davao’s political landscape, a legacy started by their grandfather, former President Rodrigo Duterte.
According to the report, during the ceremony, the Dutertes shared their commitment to addressing essential public concerns. They emphasized priorities such as enhancing the education system, boosting healthcare services, developing infrastructure, and ensuring peace and security within the city.
