Kylie Padilla Opens Up About Postpartum Struggles
KYLIE PADILLA – Kapuso actress Kylie Padilla bravely shared her difficult postpartum journey, revealing the physical and emotional toll she endured after giving birth to her second son.
Behind the strength of every mother lies a battle often fought in silence. Actress Kylie Padilla is now breaking that silence to shed light on the difficult realities many women face after childbirth.
The Encantadia star recently took to Facebook to share what she called a “triggering post,” candidly revealing the struggles she endured during her pregnancy and postpartum journey. Her post followed a heartfelt story about another mother battling postpartum depression—an issue Kylie said hit close to home.

“After giving birth to my second son, I also suffered and still suffer from complications of childbirth, or binat as they call it,” she wrote.
Kylie detailed how she experienced serious complications following a spinal cord injection, which left her unable to walk for nearly three months. Along with mobility issues, she suffered from severe headaches, nerve pain, and extreme fatigue. These physical challenges were compounded by difficulties with breastfeeding, adding to the emotional and physical toll.
“All the stress, anxiety, and body pain ABSOLUTELY TOOK A TOLL ON MY BODY,” she recalled. “I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD EVER RECOVER. I never thought I would ever get past that dark place that I was in. My support system then was also lacking.”

Kylie emphasized how difficult it is to explain binat and postpartum struggles to those unfamiliar with the experience. Her post called for stronger societal support for mothers, especially through policies like paid maternity leave and increased awareness of postpartum depression.
“Mothers deserve time to rest their bodies and minds after childbirth,” she urged. “We need a world where everyone feels supported—so our moms can better take care of our children.”
Kylie shares two sons, Alas and Axl, with her ex-husband Aljur Abrenica. Since their separation in 2021, they have been co-parenting their children.
By opening up about her experiences, Kylie Padilla hopes to encourage more empathy and support for mothers everywhere, turning pain into purpose for the silent battles so many women endure.
