RUFA MAE QUINTO – Comedian Rufa Mae Quinto talks about marriage with Trevor Magallanes.

In a heartfelt revelation on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Kapuso comedienne and actress Rufa Mae Quinto shared an emotional update about her relationship with her husband, Trevor Magallanes. Though still legally married, Rufa candidly admitted that both she and Trevor have chosen to move on from their relationship.

During the interview, Rufa said they both respect each other. “Move on muna, pero we respect each other. Kasi nga masyado nang ano eh—’di ba para mag-clarity na rin lahat,” The actress noted that while there is no bitterness between them, the emotional toll remains.

Rufa revealed that they had tried to save their marriage but eventually realized they wanted different things in life. “Kaya lang siguro gusto lang namin ng magkaiba—maraming dahilan na hindi na rin namin alam basta mas masaya kami siguro nang ganito,” she said.

Despite the separation, their top priority remains their daughter, Athena. Rufa makes sure that her child continues to understand the lasting role of her father in her life.

Athena, like many children in similar situations, has had her own emotional struggles. “pero lagi kong sinasabi na tomorrow is another day.”

Married in 2016 and blessed with their daughter a year later, Rufa and Trevor’s journey has taken a different turn—but one built on mutual respect and love for their child.
