Winwyn Marquez is bidding goodby to pageant
Beauty queen-actress Winwyn Marquez said the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 pageant is her last.
Winwyn was just one of the pageant veterans who joined MUPH this year. Her pageant journey officially started in 2015 when she joined Binibining Pilipinas and was able to enter the Top 15.
Two years after that, she joined Miss World Philippines in which she was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas. She represented the Philippines in the international pageant in Bolivia and became the first Pinay Reina Hispanoamericana.

After winning an international pageant crown, Winwyn Marquez did not totally shut her door from pageantry and she made another try this 2025. She was able to join even though she is already a mother and is now 32 years old.
It was because the Miss Universe Organization removed the age limit and allowed mothers and married to join in 2023. Even though Winwyn did not get the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 crown, she was thankful for her pageant journey.
In an interview after the coronation night, Winwyn said that she was still happy with her placement, as MUPH 2025 1st runner-up. “Who would’ve thought now, [a] mother, first runner-up sa Miss Universe Philippines? That’s good feedback already,” she said.
She mentioned that in their batch this year, four of them are mothers, and she stressed that they gave their best, and critics should respect this. After the pageant, Winwyn said that she will focus on her family and spend quality time with them.
While preparing for the MUPH, she sacrificed her time for her family. “I’ve done my job. I lived a dream already, and sana na-inspire ko yung maraming tao na gawin nila yung gusto nilang gawin without any regrets,” the beauty queen-actress said.
In the same interview, she expressed that this would be her last pageant. “This is my last [pageant]. So, I love you guys…” she said. She thanked her supporters and repeated, “This is my last, yeah. Sure na iyon.”
