After leaving the show, Gerald Anderson had his ASAP homecoming last April. He was part of Batch 2006 and he expressed gratitude for being part of the show.

“Thank you sa ‘ASAP’ dahil sa experience to travel the world, to have the platform and the opportunity to entertain our OFWs. Thank you because itong show ay inaabangan every Sunday ng mga Kapamilya and it has been a big part of my career lalo na noong nagsisimula ako,” Gerald said.

Aside from this, the actor is also thankful for the friendship he formed with other celebrities while being on the show. He said that he will surely treasure this experience he had with the ASAP family.

Then, the actor recalled that time when he first stepped on the ASAP stage. That was after his PBB stint and he admitted that he was so nervous at that time.

“Sobra akong kinakabahan,” he said. Gerald Anderson admitted that he was starstruck seeing the biggest stars in the entertainment industry while he was a newbie at that time.

Acknowledging where he came from and how was his life before showbiz, Gerald said that there was doubt along the way.

Kapag 17 ka’t baguhan ka at galing kang probinsya, talagang ido-doubt mo ang sarili mo kung tama ba na nandito ako. But sa awa ng Diyos, it was a great experience, and hanggang ngayon nandito ako. Kaya ako pumayag na mag-perform today kasi itong 30th anniversary ng ‘ASAP,’ and it has been a big part of my life and my career,” he shared.

When asked about the most memorable part of his ASAP journey, the actor initially had a hard time citing one. Eventually, he was able to come up with an answer.

Gerald Anderson said that it was during the time when they had their out-of-the-country show. They went to Hawaii and Guam. In this stint, he realized the power of the work they do and their ability to provide entertainment and inspiration to other people.
