Jackie Lou Blanco Honors Ricky Davao in Tearful Post
JACKIE LOU BLANCO – Veteran actress and singer Jackie Lou Blanco poured her heart into a moving tribute for her late ex-husband Ricky Davao.
Jackie Lou Blanco paid a heartfelt tribute to her former husband, esteemed actor Ricky Davao, after his unexpected death on May 2 at the age of 63. His passing left a significant void in the local entertainment industry, marking another profound loss this year.
On May 3, Jackie Lou took to Instagram to honor Ricky, sharing a series of emotional stories that quickly caught the attention of netizens. Many were touched by the raw sincerity and affection in her posts, a reflection of the love that endured beyond their separation.

One of her tributes included a reposted video from talent manager Noel Ferrer, capturing Ricky’s joyful performance at the Pinoy Playlist Music Festival in October 2019. The original caption, “Araw-gabi… Nasa isip ka… SALAMAT AT PAALAM, Ricky Davao!” blended a celebration of his life with sorrow over his loss.
Jackie Lou also reshared a poignant photo from their daughter Ara Davao, showing Ricky alongside Jackie Lou’s late mother, the legendary Pilita Corrales, who passed away only weeks earlier at the age of 85. The post served as a moving reminder of back-to-back losses within their family.

But it was Jackie Lou’s own message on IG that struck the deepest chord: “I know you are singing in Heaven. You will forever be missed. I love you.” Her words revealed an enduring emotional bond despite the end of their marriage.
Although the two had parted ways, they remained united in raising their three children—Kenneth, Rikki Mae, and Ara—sharing a respectful co-parenting relationship. In a 2023 interview, Jackie Lou admitted she regretted their breakup, saying, “Sana hindi kami naghiwalay ni Ricky… only because I can see how affected my children were.”
Ricky Davao’s influence as both a father and an artist continues to live on, and Jackie Lou’s tribute honors not only his memory but also the meaningful history they shared.
