Bretman Rock and Heart Evangelista are the covers of Allure Philippines’ maiden issue
Filipino-American social media influencer Bretman Rock revealed that Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista did this for him at the Paris Fashion Week.
Bretman rose to fame with his funny videos on social media. His popularity opened doors for him as an endorser of various brands. He also ventured into fashion and podcasting. Despite his international success, Bretman never fails to showcase his Filipino heritage.
At times, he would talk about Filipino culture, showcase food and things from the Philippines, and feature Pinoys on his social media pages.
Bretman Rock has another milestone just recently. He worked with Heart Evangelista for Allure Philippines Magazine.
“Our two cover stars Heart Evangelista (@iamhearte) and Bretman Rock (@bretmanrock) are the perfect embodiment of the Filipino now—rooted in their heritage, but at the same time, breaking boundaries and redefining what it means to represent the Philippines on a global scale,” the magazine stated in a post.
During the grand launch for this, Heart and Bretman were asked what were their reactions upon knowing that they would be working with each other in this magazine. Bretman said that when he offered to be the cover star, he lived, and then when he was told that it was with Heart, he died. The Kapuso actress said that she had the opposite reaction because first, she was dead because she had to work on her schedule for this to happen, and then, she was “risen” when she heard that she would do this with Bretman.
Then in an interview with Inquirer, Bretman Rock revealed that he and Heart Evangelista first met at Paris Fashion Week. He revealed that Heart stood up for him to get the allotted seat for him which was occupied by someone else.
“She saved the day because my seat was taken, I was too shy and demure to ask them to move and being an “Ate,” she was like ‘This is his seat.’” Bretman said.
Heart said that Bretman kept on saying sorry and she said that Filipinos in general are really like that but she insisted that it was Bretman’s seat so he should be there.
