Angelika is just one of the many celebrities who ventured into politics. She is currently serving as the barangay captain of Brgy. Longos in Malabon City.

In a recent report, it was said that Angelika is facing several cases filed against her by a resident of Malabon.

A plunder case was filed against her. Allegedly, she took the barangay’s budget for her personal consumption. Aside from this, 62 counts of malversation of public funds, 18 counts of failure to render accounts, illegal use of public funds, and 64 counts of violation of the Anti-graft and Corrupt Practices Act were also filed against her.

In a social media post after this report circulated, Angelika Dela Cruz wrote that this was what other people did after they couldn’t get what they wanted.
