Actress-turned-politician Angelika Dela Cruz reacted to the plunder case filed against her.
Angelika is just one of the many celebrities who ventured into politics. She is currently serving as the barangay captain of Brgy. Longos in Malabon City.
In a recent report, it was said that Angelika is facing several cases filed against her by a resident of Malabon.
A plunder case was filed against her. Allegedly, she took the barangay’s budget for her personal consumption. Aside from this, 62 counts of malversation of public funds, 18 counts of failure to render accounts, illegal use of public funds, and 64 counts of violation of the Anti-graft and Corrupt Practices Act were also filed against her.
In a social media post after this report circulated, Angelika Dela Cruz wrote that this was what other people did after they couldn’t get what they wanted.
“Grabe tlg ang politics pag hindi nila nakuha ang gusto nila sa siraan next step kakasuhan ka naman nila haayyy baka sa susunod nyan ipapatay nyo ako ah,” she wrote in a Facebook post.
In the comment section, the actress-turned-politician received support from her fans and supporters. They shared their motivational message for Angelika to just continue amid the attempts of her detractors. “Ingat lng plgi MAAM….LAKAS LOOB BE HUMBLE AND STRONG PRAYER,” a netizen commented.
Then, Angelika Dela Cruz also shared a post from a page that defended her amid the legal battle she is facing now. The actress thanked the social media page for rallying behind her back. The post stressed that Angelika is a responsible public servant and actively does her duties.
