Drag performer Jiggly Caliente of RuPaul’s Drag Race Philippines passed away on Sunday, April 27, at 4:42 am.

The drag community in the Philippines is gaining traction these recent years, especially when RuPaul’s Drag Race was brought to the country in 2022.

This opened the door of opportunities for Filipino drag performers and one of them was Jiggly Caliente or Bianca Castro in real life. She has been one of the resident judges of the drag show.

Based on the article in GMA Entertainment, she was among the judges of all three seasons of “Drag Race Philippines.” The Filipino drag performer competed in Season 4 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race”. She also joined the Season 6 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars.”

However, three days ago, a post on Jiggly’s Instagram page was shared announcing that she will not be part of the new season of Drag Race Philippines because of her health condition.

Over the last month Bianca has experienced a serious health setback. Due to a severe infection, she was hospitalized and, as a result, has undergone the loss of most of her right leg,” the drag performer’s family said in a statement.

Days after that, another statement was released. It was the sad news that Jiggly Caliente’s family announced that she passed away. She was surrounded by her loving family and close friends.

Her legacy is one of love, courage, and light. Though her physical presence is gone, the joy she shared and the space she helped create for so many will remain forever. She will be deeply missed, always loved, and eternally remembered,” the family of the late drag performer stated.

Several celebrities, drag performers, and fans expressed sadness upon hearing the news about Jiggly’s death.
