Hajie Alejandro received “condolences” from netizens
OPM singer Hajji Alejandro passed away on April 22 and netizens mistakenly sent messages to social media personality Hajie Alejandro.
The passing of Hajji broke the hearts of many OPM fans and celebrities in the Philippine entertainment industry. He suffered from stage 4 colon cancer and his health detoriated drastically.
OPM President, singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid, remembered the legacy of the late singer in a tribute post he shared on Instagram. Hajji’s longtime partner Alynna Velasquez revealed in a post that the veteran singer passed away a day before their anniversary.
Netizens also expressed condolences to the family of the late singer. However, there were some who mistakenly sent their message to a different person with the same name.
Hajie Alejandro is an online personality. Based on his Instagram profile, he is a professional makeup artist and a photographer. Hajie is also the owner of the Photography & Photo Studio Rental called Onzè Studio.
In a post on Tuesday on his Instagram page with over a hundred thousand followers, Hajie shared a video of him lying on the bed looking sleepy. The video caption reads, “POV: 3 Weeks kanang puyat tapos pag open mo ng phone ang daming nag Condolonce sayo.”
In the caption of his post, he wrote, “Condolence po sa Family ni sir Hajji Alejandro.” Netizens in the comment section said that when the news of Hajji Alejandro’s death circulated, they also thought that it was Hajie.
A netizen who is already a mother, shared this comment, “Yung anak ko na nasa school napamessage pa…. Mama patay na Yung ka MUM mo si Hajji.. [face with open mouth emoji] Sabi ko anak Yung singer yun.” Another netizen said that she has been waiting for Hajie’s reaction to this.
