KEN CHAN – Kapuso actor Ken Chan took part in the Songkran festivities in Thailand, drawing attention as he celebrated abroad despite facing an ongoing Syndicated Estafa case in the Philippines.

A TikTok video, which has since been deleted, captured the actor participating in Thailand’s lively Songkran Festival—a traditional celebration famous for its festive water fights and street revelry. Although the video was taken down, it had already circulated widely online, catching the attention of netizens who were quick to notice Ken’s overseas presence.

This appearance abroad comes as Ken is facing a pending Syndicated Estafa case in the Philippines, along with seven co-accused. As reported by ABS-CBN News, Atty. Joseph Noel Estrada confirmed that a court-issued warrant for their arrest is currently active.

“There is a pending case of Mr. Ken Chan along with seven other co-accused and there is a pending warrant for their arrest, ngayon pong umaga ini-try pong i-serve ng ating law enforcement team yung warrant na iyon na in-issue ng korte, ang kaso po ay Syndicated Estafa,” Estrada explained.

The charges reportedly stem from an alleged investment scam that prosecutors deemed strong enough to elevate to the court level. Estrada further noted that the complaint was based on this scam, prompting authorities to file the Syndicated Estafa charges against the actor and his co-defendants.

According to the report, authorities previously tried to serve the arrest warrant at Chan’s residence in November last year but were unsuccessful as he was not at home at the time.

To date, Ken Chan has not released any official statement regarding either the accusations or his recent travels. His appearance in Thailand has stirred online debate, with many questioning the timing and appropriateness of his trip amid his ongoing legal situation.

The public now awaits updates on the case, particularly whether the actor will return to the country to face the charges in court.
