Kathryn Bernardo’s Childhood Crush Speaks Out: ‘She Was My First Crush Too!’
KATHRYN BERNARDO – Actress Kathryn Bernardo’s former classmate and alleged first crush has finally been found — and he’s breaking his silence in a surprising public interview.
Following Kathryn Bernardo’s heartwarming revelation that her first crush was a boy named “Kenneth” back when she was in Grade 2, the story quickly went viral on social media. It didn’t take long before the public tracked down the said Kenneth—now a doctor, identified as Dr. Kenneth Hizon.
In an exclusive interview with TV5, Dr. Hizon shared that it was amusing to hear about the news, though he admitted feeling overwhelmed by the sudden spotlight on his name. He said he first found out about it while on duty, after a friend tagged him in a video of Kathryn from PGT (Pilipinas Got Talent), where she mentioned her first crush by name.

Dr. Hizon also recounted that he and Kathryn had been classmates since nursery at Christian Faith Montessori. Although both of them eventually transferred to other schools, he recalled that they might have been classmates up until Grade 1 or Grade 2.
When asked if he was certain he was the one Kathryn was referring to, Dr. Hizon answered cautiously. He wasn’t entirely sure if he was the only “Kenneth” in their class at the time, but said there was a good chance it was him. While he didn’t outright claim to be Kathryn’s first crush, he admitted that he, too, had sweet memories of the actress.

Toward the end of the interview, Kenneth revealed that Kathryn was also his first crush. He described her as cheerful and intelligent, even when they were kids. He called her “bright and beautiful,” a sentiment that delighted fans of the actress even more.
The rediscovery of Kathryn and Dr. Hizon’s childhood connection turned into a delightful story of innocent puppy love—a charming and nostalgic tale that warmed the hearts of the public.
