Kylie Padilla admitted that getting married to Aljur Abrenica was not her plan
Kapuso actress Kylie Padilla shared intriguing revelations about her married life with her estranged husband, actor Aljur Abrenica.
Kylie and Aljur’s relationship and breakup became trending topics on social media and in showbiz. The actress took a break from the entertainment industry when she got pregnant. That was during the height of her acting career.
Kylie was aware that many people got disappointed, especially her loved ones. Because she was in love, she decided to embrace that real-life role. The actress talked about her past love life in a recent interview on the YouTube channel of her tita BB Gandanghari.
BB asked Kylie if she really felt back then that she wanted to settle down. The actress was a bit hesitant because it was hard for her to lie, and she thought that this might be an issue once again.
However, she got honest about what she felt. “I wasn’t ready to get married ‘coz I didn’t really believe in marriage,” the actress admitted.
Kylie Padilla said that in order to make everyone happy, she and Aljur Abrenica got married. The Kapuso actress also revealed that she was already when she and Aljur were in a live-in setup.
She said that she had a deep understanding of marriage and the commitment that follows, and that the couple should be together through thick and thin. “When I was in the marriage, I didn’t feel that part,” Kylie admitted. BB asked the actress at what point in their marriage she felt that it was not what she expected.
She said that it was during the pandemic. For her, she and Aljur were tested, and they failed. “What a big mistake…” she said, but retracted it and said that it was not really a mistake because of her two sons. BB said that it could be a mistake, and the actress answered, “Pwede naman nating i-accept yun, e, as a lesson learned.”
Kylie Padilla said that she had forgiven herself and that Aljur Abrenica has also moved on. The actor is currently in a relationship with AJ Raval. The Kapuso actress now has non-showbiz boyfriend.
