Janine Gutierrez received the Best Supporting Actress trophy at the 38th Star Awards for TV
Kapamilya actress Janine Gutierrez revealed the reaction of her boyfriend, A-list actor Jericho Rosales, to her recent acting award.
Janine proved that she is more than just a “nepo baby.” She is the daughter of actor Monching Gutierrez and actress Lotlot de Leon, and came from one of the most prominent showbiz clans in the Philippines.
With her past acting projects, Janine showed that she deserved her own spotlight in the entertainment industry. Just recently, her acting caliber was recognized by a prominent award-giving body.
Based on the article in PEP, Janine Gutierrez shared what Jericho Rosales felt after she was recognized as the 38th Star Awards for TV Best Supporting Actress for the series Lavender Fields.
In the series, Janine played the character of Iris Buenavidez, the wife of Jericho’s character. The actress shared that her boyfriend congratulated her.
“Oo, nag-congrats siya. At sabi niya, sana raw nakarating siya pero may shooting kasi siya for Quezon,” Janine shared.
She also expressed gratitude for having someone like Jericho in her life. For her, it became too easy for her to take a risk in a role and believe in herself that she can do it because there is someone who believes in her.
When asked what she discovered anew with Jericho as their relationship progresses, Janine said, “Ganun pa rin naman, mga bagay na alam ko na. Siguro masaya lang kasi kahit magkaiba kami ng project ngayon, parang patuloy yung suporta.”
Janine Gutierrez also shared that her family is very supportive of her love life. Although she and Jericho did not officially confirm their relationship, the actor somehow made their relationship Instagram official when he shared their sweet pool photos. The actress said that her parents were never strick when it comes to her love life.
