Pinoy Big Brother DUO Nomination/Eviction Unfair? Bianca Gonzalez Reacts

Pinoy Big Brother introduced this new format in the Philippine version of the reality show

A netizen commented that the Pinoy Big Brother DUO nomination and eviction is unfair, and this received a reaction from host Bianca Gonzalez.

Bianca has been the host of the Kapamilya reality show for many years already. She has seen different kinds of housemates, show formats, and unexpected happenings inside and even outside of the PBB house.

For the PBB Celebrity Collab Edition, duos were formed consisting of a Kapamilya star and paired with a Kapuso star. With this, housemates will nominate the duo and this goes also with the eviction.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Bianca Gonzalez shared that with all the seasons that Pinoy Big Brother had, the duo nomination and eviction put the show to the next level.

We’ve done 11 seasons of PBB, and housemates, whether intentionally or unconsciously, ‘play the game.’ DUO nominations and evictions totally change the “game” and will PUT TO THE TEST this batch of housemates in a wildly different way compared to past seasons,” she wrote in her tweet.

This received a comment from X user @eeeytherese who commented, “Seriously ang unfair!”

In her reply to the netizen, Bianca explained that this already happened in other franchises of the reality show and it has a different effect on how the housemates nominate other housemates for eviction.

It’s a whole new competition mechanic for us, at bago man dito, nagawa na ang duo format sa Big Brother Spain, Nigeria and The Netherlands. The housemates are forced to rethink what they thought the “formula” is to staying in the house, or even winning,” the Kapamilya host explained.

In another tweet, Bianca stressed that nomination is one of the hardest parts of being a housemate. However, this season with the duo nomination and eviction, it is “extra difficult.” It is a new challenge, Bianca stressed, because a housemate may have a different perspective between the members of the duo.
