Liza Marcos Viral Photo: Palace Challenges Critics To Prove If It’s Edited

The camp of FL Liza Marcos reacted to fake photo accusation

First Lady Liza Marcos shared a photo with the members of the Asian Cultural Council (ACC) on her official Facebook page on March 22 and this went viral.

The virality of the photo was due to the speculations that it was fake or edited. In the photo, the First Lady was in the forefront portion of the table. It was questioned by a netizen why FL Liza was standing but she looked shorter like she was seated.

With this, critics accused the First Lady of creating a narrative to allegedly hide something. Prior to this, her photos when she donated to the Girl Scouts of the Philippines also received accusations that it was taken a long time ago.

Based on the report in The Manila Times, Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary Claire Castro addressed the “fake” accusation against the recent viral photo of FL Liza Marcos. Castro pointed out that the critics had no idea about the meeting and that it is quite expected that negative reactions will be raised by those who are not knowledgeable about it.

Those who usually criticize are those who are not privy to any meeting. What can we expect from those who know nothing? It’s easy to pretend as if they know everything,” Castro said.

Netizens connected this issue to the accusation that she was detained in the US and that it had something to do with the death of Rustan Commercial Corp. (RCC) executive Paolo Tantoco. Previously, the Palace denied this speculation about the First Lady.

Castro also stressed, “Anyway, it is better to challenge these fake news vloggers/bloggers to show their own verified evidence that will counter that photo.”

Meanwhile, on March 23, the Facebook page of FL Liza Marcos shared a family photo. “Happy Sunday everyone!” the caption stated.
