A new project for Barbie Forteza and David Licauco is coming soon
Kapuso loveteam partners Barbie Forteza and David Licauco are set to have a new project and here’s what GMA’s senior vice president for programming, talent management, worldwide and support group Annette Gozon-Valdes shared about this.
Barbie and David’s tandem, now known as BarDa, came unexpectedly. Fans saw their undeniable chemistry in the series Maria Clara at Ibarra. With this, they were given more projects together as a loveteam. This was followed by Maging Sino Ka Man and Pulang Araw.
When their loveteam started, both of them were in relationships with their respective former partners. Despite the “kilig” that BarDa fans had for them, Barbie and David were thankful back then that their supporters understood the line between onscreen and their personal lives.
Previously, Barbie admitted that at first she was not okay with David because he was always late. This was the reason why her initial reaction to their loveteam was not that so positive. In order to work together harmoniously, they made some adjustments to portray as sweet tandem onscreen because at first, they were not close.
In a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, Annette Gozon-Valdes was asked what’s next for Barbie Forteza and David Licauco.
“They have a movie,” the media executive shared. She also shared that they are working on this because Barbie and David will have separate projects this year on TV. “But we all know that these two really have chemistry and we are currently in pre-production for their movie,” she said.
Annette also shared that this would definitely be a love story. She added that Barbie’s next project is less of a love story, so it would be difficult to include David in it. However, they know they need to sustain the chemistry. “And parehong single, ‘di ba?” Annette jokingly said.
