Andrea Brillantes shared her views about politics
Kapamilya actress Andrea Brillantes believed that the Generation Z and Alpha should have political awareness.
Andrea grew up in showbiz. She was first known as a child star until she became one of the most in-demand actresses of her generation. Currently, she is part of the Kapamilya primetime series Batang Quiapo.
Aside from the world of show business, Andrea also said in a recent interview, based on the article in Daily Tribune, it is also important for someone like her to have awareness when it comes to politics.
She was asked about the importance that the younger generation knows what is happening in the country. The actress pointed out the positive influence that shows like Batang Quiapo have on the people.
Andrea Brillantes is thankful to be part of the Batang Quiapo for opening social issues on national television and reach a wider audience.
“Because ‘Batang Quiapo,’ it seems like all ages watch it, from the elderly to the youngest. Hopefully, Batang Quiapo can bring this awareness, politically and everything, to our audience,” the young actress said.
Speaking for her generation, Andrea stressed that it is important for them to have political awareness to come up with a better decision for the future generation. “We need to be aware of what is happening. I just think it’s really important,” she said.
It has been a trend that celebrities would endorse certain political figures or groups. Andrea Brillantes is not new in this scenario. In the past, she already expressed support for politicians. She said that it is vital that celebrities who use their platforms to encourage civic engagement should be informed participants in shaping the country’s future.
