Sylvia Sanchez opened up about this part of her life
Seasoned actress Sylvia Sanchez revealed why she calls her daughter Gela Atayde her “reconciliation baby.”
Sylvia is one of the most respected actresses. She achieved longevity in the entertainment industry and showed how versatile she is when it comes to acting.
Her success in the entertainment industry now reflects on her new role, being a producer. She and her children established the Nathan Studios.

In a recent interview on Karen Davila’s YouTube channel, Sylvia Sanchez shared the struggles she went through before achieving what she has now.
Aside from the financial difficulties and getting pregnant when she was 16 years old, Sylvia also shared that during the early days of her marriage with her husband Art Atayde,
They got married at a young age and Sylvia had Arjo Atayde when she was just 18 years old. Since they were young at that time, problems arose between them.
Eventually, they separated. The actress admitted that she thought of bringing her children Arjo and Ria to Mindanao. However, she also thought of the possibility that her children would be just the same as her and she might not be able to support their studies.
Sylvia revealed that she chose not to be selfish and hide her children from Art, who can send them to prominent schools. That made her stay in Manila.

Then, time came when Art was the one who would take their children to school and that became a routine until Sylvia noticed that his husband wanted them to get back together.
After almost a decade, the reconciliation happened, and Sylvia shared that she was surprised that she would get pregnant in just a short period of time after they got back. This is why she considered Gela, who is 10 years younger than Ria, as their “reconciliation baby.”
Sylvia Sanchez also shared that she told her husband that when they got back together, she wanted her to be the reason why he wanted a second chance and not just their children.
