Herlene Budol Speaks Out on Decision to Avoid Working W/ Rob Gomez
HERLENE BUDOL – Kapuso star Herlene Budol finally breaks her silence on why she refuses to work with Rob Gomez again.
Actress and beauty queen Herlene Budol has firmly stated that she has no plans to collaborate with her former Magandang Dilag co-star, Rob Gomez, following the controversy that linked them in 2023.
During her guest appearance on the Your Honor vodcast, Budol candidly shared her thoughts on the issue and explained why she has chosen to distance herself from Gomez professionally.
The controversy arose from a leaked private conversation between Budol and Gomez, which became a hot topic online last year. While she refrained from discussing specifics, Budol expressed her disappointment over how the situation unfolded, emphasizing that she felt unprotected and unsupported throughout the ordeal.
In the Executive Whisper segment of the vodcast, host Buboy Villar directly asked Budol which actor she had no desire to work with. Without hesitation, she mentioned Gomez and explained her reasoning. “Yung nagka-issue nga last year. Tapos parang hindi lang ako napagtanggol. Siguro alam niya naman kung bakit ayaw ko na siya makatrabaho. Siguro, siya lang,” she stated.
According to the report, Budol further elaborated, suggesting that the feeling might be mutual. “Pero kung siya ‘yung tatanungin. Feeling ko rin ayaw din naman niya ako [maka-trabaho]. Iwas-gulo lang din. Para iwas issue parang pagod! Pagod na pagod din talaga ako sa mga binabatong hindi naman talaga [din totoo]” she admitted.
Despite the challenges she faced, Budol clarified that she holds no resentment toward Gomez. Instead, she prioritizes keeping the peace for everyone involved. “Alam mo ‘yun ang hirap ipagtanggol ng sarili mo. Tapos wala pa nagtatanggol sa’yo. Kaya nilulunok ko na lang lahat ng mga masasakit na salita… No hate ako sa kanya, basta siguro para lang sa ikakatahimik ng lahat,” she concluded.
Budol’s honest statements have sparked discussions among fans, many of whom support her decision to prioritize her well-being. Meanwhile, Gomez has yet to respond to her remarks.
