Vilma Santos talked about what she prefers in doing her scenes
Multi-awarded actress Vilma Santos revealed the reason why she wants to do her scenes in just “one take” only.
Vilma, tagged as the Star For All Seasons, has done a lot of hit series and movies throughout her career. Her acting caliber has become an inspiration to many younger artists in the Philippine entertainment industry.
Many younger artists have expressed that they want to work with Ate Vi. She has portrayed a lot of iconic characters that remained in the minds of many of her fans known as Vilmanians. The most recent acting project she did was the Metro Manila Film Festival 2024 entry Uninvited.
In a recent interview, based on the article by The Philippine Star entertainment writer Dolly Anne Carvajal, she shared a glimpse of the interview she had with Vilma Santos.
The seasoned actress shared that as much as possible, she wants her scenes to be just Take One and she has a reasonable explanation for this.
“As much as possible, I want all my scenes to be Take One. Yung unang bugso ng damdamin, yun ang galing sa puso. Kasi if you have to retake many times, it becomes mechanical,” Ate Vi said. She is also known for delivering her dramatic scenes superbly.
Meanwhile, the Star For All Seasons has returned to the political arena. Last year, she filed her certificate of candidacy for Batangas governor. Her running mate is her son Kapamilya host Luis Manzano.
Previously, the mother-and-son tandem addressed the political dynasty issue, as Vilma’s other son Ryan Recto is also running for congressman in Batangas. They pointed out that the election is all about polls and that it is still the people who will choose who they want to lead.
