Jericho Rosales will once again showcase his acting caliber
Kapamilya A-list actor Jericho Rosales shared his thoughts on being chosen to play Manuel L. Quezon in biopic.
Jericho has proven his versatility when it comes to acting. Throughout his acting career, he did not box himself in just one genre. He continues to inspire and garner admiration from fans and his fellow celebrities with his performances. After taking a break from showbiz, he had an explosive comeback with good projects. He previously said that he will be more fearless this year.
Just recently, it was announced that Jericho will portray a prominent personality in the history of the Philippines.
Based on the article in The Philippine Star, TBA Studios released an official photo of Jericho Rosales as the lead of the cast for the Manuel L. Quezon biopic. This will showcase the life of Quezon as a Filipino lawyer and soldier until he became the President of the Commonwealth of the Philippines from 1935 to 1944.
This movie will serve as Jericho’s big screen comeback after his 2018 movie The Girl in the Orange Dress. Talking about this new movie project, the A-list actor expressed what he felt.
“I feel so honored to be with this team. Coming to a script like this which is so potent and so entertaining, I feel so lucky and happy,” Jericho shared.
The actor also shared that this movie is expected to show Quezon as a person and not just a well-known hero. Jericho even shared some of Quezon’s traits. “He is cunning, he is charming, he is intelligent,” the actor said about Quezon.
Jericho added it is so interesting for him to play this character and he can put a lot into it and build Quezon as a character. This added to the pressure that he feels but it also makes him feel excited.
Also included in the cast are Mon Confiado as Emilio Aguinaldo, Benjamin Alves as a younger Quezon, and Karylle Yuzon as Aurora Quezon.
